A Year After the Deepwater Horizon Spill, The Nature Conservancy Calls for Restoration in the Gulf of Mexico

On the first anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, The Nature Conservancy calls for long-term, large-scale restoration of the Gulf’s lands and waters and cites a recent online survey that shows overwhelming support for returning the oil spill fines back to the Gulf to help fund the work.

The Conservancy, with more than 35 years of working in the Gulf, has shown the Gulf’s resilience in numerous projects to restore oyster reefs, seagrass beds, coral reefs and coastal forests and marshes. More Than 1,000 Volunteers to Serve in Student Conservation Association Earth Day Projects Nationwide

The Student Conservation Association (SCA), the national leader in youth service and stewardship, will engage more than 1,000 volunteers in Earth Day service projects in ten major U.S. cities, the green nonprofit announced today.

SCA members, local community volunteers and employees of corporate partners Amtrak, ARAMARK, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, and FedEx will build hiking trails, remove invasives, plant community gardens and beautify urban parks in celebration of Earth Day.

AMP Holding/AMP Electric Vehicles Signs a Definitive Agreement with a Potential Value of Over $100M for the Supply of 1000 SUV Electric Vehicles to Northern Lights Energy (NLE) of Iceland

AMP Holding Inc. (OTCBB: AMPD), a company engaged in the emission-free electrification of OEM vehicles through its wholly owned subsidiary, AMP Electric Vehicles, Inc., announced today the signing of a definitive agreement with the Icelandic company Northern Lights Energy (NLE). The agreement, in fully executed form, would result in potential revenue to AMP in excess of one-hundred million ($100M) and positions AMP to be a leading supplier of electric sport utility vehicles (SUVs). The first NLE unit is scheduled to be delivered within thirty days with the next twenty vehicles scheduled for delivery in the September timeframe.
