Gas Prices Around the World

There are many other places around the world that have been paying over $4 a gallon for gas for many years. Now that the US has reached an average of over $4 a gallon, here are some gas prices from around the world. For the country’s that use the metric system, the prices have been converted relatively from liters to gallons.
The main factor in price disparities between countries is government policy, many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline.
